On Sunday 15th March the MGA/Magnette register had a coffee run to Cobbs Hill Winery, on Swamp Road, near Balhannah.
This was the lunch venue for the first stage of the Adelaide Rally back in December 2019. It was much less hectic on Sunday. Nine MGAs turned out along with two MGBs and Alan and I arrived in my Mitsubishi 380. We had done our first babysitting stint in Victor Harbor for our granddaughter Everly and just could not get back home and then on to Crafers with the MGA, unless, we got up at 4 am. Just too hard in the end.
Although it seemed like the wind was coming straight from the South Pole at Crafers, by the time we made it to Cobbs Hill the wind had dropped and we enjoyed coffee in the sunshine at the really beautiful gardens. A spot of bocce, bit of tasting, some purchasing and then we made our way home or on to lunch.
The members who attended were:
Velli and Gary Algate
Dennise and Nick Micklem
Sandy and Trevor Dicker
De and Ian Denny
Chris and Milly Hunt
Karen and Murray Stephenson
Heather and Ken Burke
Don Moyse and Rosa Stanton
Sandra and Alan Cardnell
Meet at Crafers Interchange 9.15am – 9.30am before departing on the short drive to Cobbs Hill Winery.
They are expecting us about 10.00am – 10.30am for coffee
