Sunday May 4th – Mallala Motorsport Park
After many years of competing Team MG has finally come away with a Trophy at the Peter Hall Memorial 6 HR relay held on May 4th.
Sadly it wasn’t the result the team was looking for as we were awarded the Hard Luck Trophy for the event. At the presentation dinner MSCA President Adrian Flynn noted the team should be commended that they managed to break all 5 of their team cars and all within the first 4 hours of the event.
Surprisingly with no cars left to compete in the last 2 ¼ hours of the event the Team DID NOT finish last but 14th out of the 15 Teams Competing.
Team members competing were Jason Edwards Lotus Exige, Dick Manning MG F, Richard Goodall MG B, Murray Stephenson MG ZS and Tyler Edwards MG F.
This is a great Team event and can’t happen without all the volunteers who assisted on the day. Many Thanks to Karen Stephenson, Peter Coulson, Berry Treffers, Tony Freckelton, Roger Dawe, Linda Goodall, Laurie Houghton, Jamie Manning, Tom Malcolm and Anthony Pascale.
Also many thanks to club members Bev Waters, Michelle Edwards and Tim Edmonds who had official rolls on the day running the event with the MSCA. Without these Volunteers these events wouldn’t happen and your efforts are much appreciated.
