MG RACING SOUTH AUSTRALIA SERIES 2024
South Australian Circuit Racing will enter a new era in the Centenary year of the MG marque, with The Bend and the Sporting Car Club of SA joining forces to run the SA Motor Racing Championships together in 2024. Events will be held at both Mallala Motorsport Park and Shell V-Power Motorsport Park’s International & GT circuits.
As a result of the new partnership, the SA Motor Racing Championships season will now increase from four events to eight, to ensure that each category will have the opportunity for five rounds, when combined with a number of new categories including the incoming Australian Formula 4 Championship, the Toyota 86 Scholarship Series and visiting interstate series such as the NSW Production Sports and Victorian BMW E30 Racing.
MG Racing has a unique multi class formula which also has a class weighting system to enable every competitor an equal chance of success. Classes include:
- Classic MG – Midgets, A’s and B’s and includes ‘Fast Road’, Group S and Current Group T.
- MG Specials and Invited British Sports Cars.
- Standard and modified modern cars.
- Open categories for purpose-built race cars, based on an MG Chassis / Body and an MG engine.
Strong interest has been expressed by a number of competitors from both Victoria and New South Wales, making the MG Racing SA Series a genuine tri-State challenge.
