INTRODUCTION

Monthly “Lunch Runs” are a great social activity and provide MG enthusiasts with the opportunity to drive our stunning cars as a group followed by a long lunch. Newcomers are always welcome.

Runs are held on the second Thursday of each month. Run destinations are determined one month in advance. Details are available under the “What’s-On” link on the website. The MGCCSA MG Motoring Magazine also provides information on upcoming lunch runs.

OVERVIEW

Each month except January the start is at a predetermined location for morning coffee followed by a car run and then lunch. In January it is lunch only with no organised car run.

Morning coffee is booked at a convenient location at 10.30am with departure at 11.30am. The car run is usually in the order of one hour with lunch at 12.30pm generally at a hotel. Participants are requested to advise the run organiser of their intention to attend to enable accurate venue bookings.

Drivers are registered at morning coffee. Lunch is always in a relaxed environment and provides an opportunity to socialise with other MG enthusiasts.

THE ROUTE

Participants are provided with a run sheet at morning coffee. Run sheets are simple to follow as this is not a navigational exercise or competition event.

Runs are always on sealed roads. Drivers are encouraged to keep together as this is when MGs are at their best and attract the attention they deserve.

A report and photographs from the run will be published and archived, under the link to this page entitled “Reports” as well as appearing in the MGCCSA MG Motoring Magazine.  Also included are any details provided on the next Lunch Run.
